Through coaching, I gained valuable insights into myself and my relationships with my colleagues at all levels. The opportunity to talk through challenging situations with someone as thoughtful and knowledgeable as Canh helped me to better understand, and ultimately be guided by, my core values and cultivate an approach rooted in authenticity with a focus on strengthening my communication skills. I was also able to identify and implement real changes that have improved my work/life balance. The personal growth I experienced has increased my ability to perform in my role and my sense of personal fulfillment.  I am deeply appreciative of the coaching experience I had.

Coaching has been life changing, allowing me to better understand myself through dialogue, listening and reflection. Feedback from the EQi 2.0 and 360 has taught me to be cognizant of my "blindspots". Those invisible traits others see in me, that I do not easily see or embrace in myself (Both the good and "the opportunities"). Since working with Canh, I have really focused on active listening both personally and professionally and have received great feedback.  I've been able to enhance my confidence, both with those who report to me and with my Vice President. I'm so very grateful for the opportunity to work with Canh.

I was an aspiring Psychiatry residency applicant when I started working under Dr. Vu’s mentorship. With the increasing competitiveness in the Match, I needed a lot of guidance to ensure that every detail in my application is seamless and adequately reflects my capabilities and interest in the field. Dr. Vu sat down with me to fine tune my personal statement and interview skills. What I’m most grateful for is how he did not just prioritize the technicalities and grammar of my essay, but in true Psychiatrist fashion, also dug deep into each part, looked at the reasons behind what I’ve written, and meticulously brought out those ideas into clear, crisp statements, while still making them sound very personal and not robotic. Dr. Vu being part of the residency recruitment team while in residency himself tremendously helped me figure out the essential parts to highlight. Best part of it all is how successful our collaboration was as I matched in my Top 1 program.

His mentorship has continued to reflect in my career even after the Match process. Dr. Vu helped me build both soft and hard skills that are now what I experience to be essential in residency. During our sessions together, we discussed common residency matters and issues (not just limited to Psychiatry) that I will be experiencing. Needless to say, the knowledge I’ve acquired from him became a major part of the foundation I’ve been building on during my intern year, which has reflected very well in my work as noted by my attendings. I am very thankful for his guidance and highly recommend working with him.
